学生 who aren’t sure what they want to major in at Chapman can apply and be admitted to the university as an “undeclared” student.
Once they enter Chapman, they are considered “Exploratory” students. This is because current students have several ways to explore various academic and career pathways as they decide on a major.

At Chapman, you’ll need to declare a major before you earn 60 credits. Earning 60 credits takes about 4 semesters (2 years).
Before the 60-credit mark, you'll focus on three things:
- 完成你的 通识教育(GE)课程. GE courses are required courses that all students take, regardless of their major. In many cases, these courses help students narrow down their major/minor choices.
- Taking major/minor exploration courses to better explore areas of interest. It is important to start discovering what you like (and what you don’t like).
- 利用有用的资源和程序 了解专业和职业.
