Join the 2023 Baccalaureate with Val Chmerkovskiy and Antonique Smith!

Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 7 p.m.
Ray and Pauline Wallace All Faiths Chapel, Fish Interfaith Center.

 

Graduating students are all invited, along with their families and Chapman students, faculty and staff. Graduates, RSVP to ensure that you have a seat. Family and other guests are welcome to join the celebration without requesting a ticket, but please be mindful that seating is first come, first served.

The Baccalaureate service at Chapman University is not your traditional baccalaureate service: it features a deeply inspirational message for all graduates, whether secular, spiritual or religious, honoring each graduate’s search for meaning.

Meet this year's speaker!

This year, our service will feature Val Chmerkovskiy! While many know Chmerkovskiy for being a two-time champion of Dancing with the Stars, he is also the co-founder of the Humanitarian Aid Fund, Baranova27, which sends relief and supplies to the people of Ukraine. Chmerkovskiy is also an author of the National Bestseller "I'll Never Change My Name".

Meet this year’s star vocalist!

We are delighted to welcome Antonique Smith, Actress, Vocalist, and Activist. She starred as Faith Evans in Notorious and as Aretha Franklin’s mother in Genius, with a leading role as Mimi Marquez in RENT on Broadway.
